Rosefield Farm is tucked away in Chester Springs, conveniently located off Route 401 near Ludwigs Corner.
It is owned and operated by Wendy King Buitendijk.
Wendy was fortunate enough to have grown up on her family’s horse farm, “Roselawn”, in
the age of two. By the age of five, she was competing and winning in large venues, including the esteemed Devon
Horse Show. By the age of sixteen, Wendy had already
won The National Championship for Large Ponies. During this time, Wendy was considered one of the top junior riders in the country, and was consistently sought after to
showcase other people’s ponies.
Wendy’s passion for horses began early. She was inspired
by her father, Hunter King, who was regarded as one of the top horsemen on the East Coast. Wendy’s mother, Joan, brought along and nurtured the youngest of Roselawn Farm’s students. Her warm, creative, and supportive environment proved an early inspiration to Wendy’s own teaching ambition. Wendy worked side-by-side with her parents, learning the intricacies of horse training, as well as the overall appreciation for a life devoted to horses.
Wendy started “Rosefield Stables” in the Radnor Hunt area and enjoyed great success there for over twelve years. Wendy, and her husband Hans, are now thrilled to have their own farm, “Rosefield”, where Wendy can continue to strive for excellence, in the King family tradition.
